🖥️ Windows VPS Access#

We will show you how to connect to your LibraHost Windows VPS and make it accessible for remote desktop software.

📋 Prerequisites#

  • An active LibraHost Windows VPS
  • Access to your LibraHost customer area
  • Remote desktop software (included in Windows)

🌐 Access via noVNC console#

Step 1: Open the noVNC console#

By going to your LibraHost customer area, then to your VPS product page, you will need to open the noVNC console of your VPS.

Search for and click on the "noVNC Console" button in your VPS management interface.

Step 2: Console connection#

This button will open a new window displaying your Windows VPS screen.

🔓 Initial Windows configuration#

Step 3: Screen unlock#

To unlock the Windows screen, you will need to:

  1. Open the menu on the left of the noVNC console
  2. Use virtual keyboard shortcuts
  3. Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard (or use the virtual shortcut)

Step 4: Password configuration#

On first connection, Windows will ask you to set a password for the Administrator account:

  1. Enter a secure password
  2. Confirm the password
  3. Press the "Enter" key to validate

⚠️ Important: Choose a strong password containing at least 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and special characters.

Step 5: Finalization#

Once the password is set, click "OK" to finalize the initial configuration.

🔗 Remote Desktop connection#

Step 6: Connection information#

You can now connect with the "Remote Desktop" software using:

  • Address: Your VPS IP address
  • Username: Administrator
  • Password: The password you just defined

Step 7: Remote Desktop configuration#

To use Windows Remote Desktop from another computer:

  1. On your local computer, open "Remote Desktop Connection"
  2. Enter your VPS IP address
  3. Click "Connect"
  4. Enter your credentials (Administrator + password)

Your Windows VPS is now accessible! You can start using it for your projects and applications.
